Some thing different

I have been doing something different from my usual card making. I have been on a jewellery making course. In the morning I made two fabric brooches.




Then in the afternoon I made a turquoise beaded bracelet.

A Win and Another Set of Christmas Cards

I was fortunately to be chosen as the random choice winner at Fab ‘n’ Funky for Challenge 46- Keeping it Clean and Simple. I can't believe I won.

Below are another set of Christmas cards. I've nearly finished all my cards for this year.




The snowflake paper I found in my collection. I don't know who it is by.
The snowflakes have been cut out using Cuttlebug dies and then chalked.
Rock Candy Distress Stickles has been added to the centre of the large snowflake.
The sentiment is by Craftwork cards.

Butterfly Card

The challenge this week at the Shabby Tea Room is 'Let's Make An Impression'.
So it is dry embossing or heat embossing.


I have used heat embossing on my card. I embossed the butterflies with clear embossing powder. I then over stamped with same butterfly stamp using the Brilliance Twilight pad and coloured over the top with same pad using Cut-n-Dry foam. I stamped grass using the Brilliance Peacock pad. I then inked round the edges with the same pad. I finally added Distress stickles Rock Candy to the flowers and butterflies.

The base card is pearlised cream card which I cut down to DL size. The green cardstock is Bazzil. The rose paper is by Anna Griffin. The green ribbon is from the Laura Ashley collection from DO crafts. The invite is by Papermania. The word wedding is printed on vellum then cut out and attached with vellum dots.

Two Fairy Cards

Here are two cards that I have made recently.






The decoupage is Fairy Daydreams by Hunkydory.
The card and cardstock are from Craftwork Cards. The punch is Martha Stewart Doily Lace.


One card has a Happy Birthday peel off. The other has an epoxy sentiment from Paperchase. Both are finished off with gems and chalked round the edges.

Baby Boy Card

The Easy Craft Project Challenge 12 is Spring. On theme of new beginnings, below is my card for a new baby boy.





The base card is bazzill cream card stock. The blue and yellow card is from Craftwork Cards.

The paper and cut outs are by Jolly Nation. The Cute as a Button is from Paperchase and the Sweet Baby Boy from a set of Jolee’s dimensional stickers.

To finish, I chalked round the edges with blue chalk.

Baby Girl Card

Below is my latest creation.





I bought the teddy bear die cut from a seller on ebay. I coloured him in with copic markers and chalks.

The words are printed on to white vellum then attached with brads. To finish, I inked round the edge with pink ink.

The boat is from the Penny Black sticker sheet Vintage Sailing.  I have mounted it on blue bazzill cardstock.

The Happy Birthday is from from Dovecraft Clear Stamps Sentiments. To finish I have chalked round the edges in brown.

I coloured the images using Copic Markers E35, R46 and Y17.

The ribbon is from the market.
The cards are finished off with chalks.

Birthday Card-Boy

Below is a birthday card I made recently

The paper is by Basic Grey. I cut the rockets out from the paper and then covered them in Glossy Accents. I then attached them with foam pads.

I then inked round edge of card and edges of the paper with blue brilliance ink.
I used silver peel offs for Happy Birthday and number 2.

I have been experimenting on some tags







I used the following items


Luggage tags from WH Smiths
Pink acrylic paint
Ranger Adirondack felt ink pad inWild Plum
Blonde Moments Embossing Powder Sweet Hot Iridescent
Blonde Moments Stamps Sweet Hearts
Clear Embossing powder

I stamped and embossed hearts with Sweet Hot Iridescent powder then over stamped in Wild Plum.
I applied Wild Plum ink around the egdes of the tags with a baby wipe.
